I am looking for a Chemical Market Sector Manager with a global responsibility for the chemical market for my client who is a manufacturer of filtration and separation products for a diverse range of chemical and petrochemical applications. They are looking to grow their market share in the chemicals market and this is a new position that reports to the Strategic Marketing Director. In terms of the business unit it is $120 Million USD turnover. $15 million is from chemicals market. And they want to double this in the next 3-5 years. Currently they are working in the phosphoric acid, fertiliser and pigments+fillers market (Silicon and titanium dioxide). They want to grow into new areas of the chemicals market as well as develop in the above.
The primary responsibility is to grow the business unit's sales in the chemical market by providing focused support to the regional sales teams. The role complements the sales organisation and catalyses their activity to drive sustainable and planned growth. This role has global responsibility for the chemical sector and will require overseas travel accordingly (30% global travel). They seek a strong process engineering background with a commercial flair.
