I am recruiting for a Risk & Insurance Manager based in London, UK or Amsterdam, Netherlands for an independent owned Oil and Gas Exploration Company with assets in the Caspian region on a staff basis.
The role is responsible managing the company risk register. Be responsible for liaising with all functional areas on possible insurance to mitigate risks; Arrange the maintenance of existing insurances; Manage insurance contracts; Establish and maintain relationships with the main insurance providers to ensure we are getting the best possible deal across the board from HR to operations to directors insurance; Monitor company exposure to other financial risks such as commodity price, currency and interest rates
Candidates require 7 years+ finance experience. At least 3 years of experience within risk department of a large company or related experience where risk register was part of the role. Experience of oil & gas insurance and insurance providers in the CIS. Good understanding of financial instruments for hedging commodity prices, currency and interest rate risk. Good standard with Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Basic understanding of SAP. Basic knowledge of IT. Fluency in spoken and written English, ideally knowledge of Russia. Willing to travel to the Caspian region.
