Our Client is looking for a Deputy Vessel Upgrade Manager to be based in Azerbaijan on a 6 x 2 rotation.
General
* Responsible for the safe and effective execution of vessel upgrade scopes and communication of project goals and expectations. * Build and lead a high performance team to facilitate successful delivery of the vessel upgrades and reactivations * Provide direction, motivation and leadership to both internal staff and external contractors * Manage interfaces within the Marine & Subsea group to ensure upgrade requirements for marine vessels are clearly identified, engineered and achievable * Ensure that all upgrade related works are detailed against agreed and auditable CTR packages * Ensure that all upgrade works are performed within budget and forecast timescale * Responsible for managing contractor project execution performance and scope delivery * Maintain awareness and promote conformance to GPO expectations and requirements of Safe Design and Quality Build within the upgrades team and the contractors. * Promote, demonstrate and ensure compliance with all appropriate elements of the GPO, Operating Management System (OMS), including Risk Management and Management of Change * Responsible for ensuring lessons learned are captured and shared with the GPO
Deputy Vessel Upgrades Manager
* Performance manages the installation contractor's asset management team to deliver on schedule * Manage the installation contractor's site supervision teams to ensure HSE targets are met and a safe working environment is provided for all reactivation and upgrade works * Manage the vessel upgrade works accordance with Q&HSE expectations * Provide input and support the offshore integrated schedule and synergies across delivery groups * Manage the vessel upgrades execution costs and own the budget * Assure upgrades to the PLBH and all supporting vessels required to execute the pipelines installation scope meet all the Project needs * Manage preparation and updating of cost control estimates * Maintain site reporting systems and provide input to Project Services management reports * Maintain close contact with the Project & Construction Management networks to ensure the relevant lessons and practices are evaluated for applicability
Academic/Expereince
* Engineering / project management degree and Chartered professional status accreditation with a recognised institution * A minimum of 15 years experience in project management of offshore assets and construction teams * Proven capability of building and leading successful teams * Experience with site construction activities related to health, safety, and environmental issues.
Skill Requirements:
* Exhibits understanding of practices and the latest international standards that assure integrity of build and construction quality * Proactively demonstrates sophisticated decision-making and leadership skills needed to address complex stakeholder groups and issues associated with Major Projects * Ability to intervene in in critical situations in order to redirect focus and achieve the required result * A high level of proven communication, interpersonal and people management skills * Financial and commercial awareness. * Self-motivated. * Computer literate
