POSITION
We seek young highly motivated recent Graduates to train in geological and drilling monitoring of oil and gas wells. This is an entry level position and full training will be given.
The primary duties of a Mud Logger consist of:
· Real time monitoring of drilling activity onsite and sample collection, preparation and description
· Lending onsite technical support in case of equipment failure
· Having a proactive attitude towards the health and safety and ensuring a safe working environment
· Assisting the well site geologist during ‘coring operations’
REQUIREMENTS
· A University degree in Geological Sciences or similar
· Fluent in English both oral and written
· Able to pass a medical exam for working in the oil and gas offshore industry
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to cope with the challenging work environment of the oil industry, and willing to work on rotations (7 days a week, 12 hours a day for 3-4 weeks at a time)
· Be a UK National.
