SENIOR PROCUREMENT ASSOCIATE

Our client, a multinational Oil & Gas company, are looking for a Senior Procurement Associate to join their team in Fawley, Hampshire, at a Refinery and Chemical Plant.

Duration: Permanent

Location: Fawley, Hampshire

Salary/Package: Competitive salary, defined benefit pension scheme, share incentive plan, private health care, relocation assistance (where applicable), onsite facilities.
Start Date: June 2018

Job Responsibilities:

* Manage and negotiate labour contracts for manufacturing sites, with a focus on safety, controls, alignment with the client's strategic objectives, vendor reliability, expense efficiency, manage vendor relationships.
* Align with international business clients on their requirements and strategic objectives.
* Develop appropriate procurement strategies.
* Prepare and manage tender processes, leading negotiations with vendors as required.
* Manage the awarding of contracts, including the development of terms.
* Administering contracts on an on going basis, including preparing and implementing contract amendments.
* Managing vendor relationships on an on-going basis, including monitoring and evaluating KPI's.

Technical Requirements:

* Engineering degree or another relevant discipline to manufacturing operations/relevant trade or engineering qualification at Higher National Diploma level or above.
* Extensive experience in a procurement role as a primary contact for a client/clients in an operational/manufacturing environment.
* Experience in a supervisory role or project leadership experience.
* Strong IT skills, specifically being an experienced and competent user of Microsoft Office, SAP.
* Contract strategy development experience.
* Experience in Contract Administration.
* Proactive claim management mitigation and resolution.
* Procurement processes and systems.
