I am recruiting for a DCS Process Control Engineer to be based in Rotterdam on a staff basis for a US owned speciality chemical manufacturer.
The technical specialist in DCS (Distributed Control System) applications is part of a team that is responsible for the monitoring, control systems and improvements of the continuously operating production process of the plant in Rotterdam. You will be responsible for performing planned and unscheduled DCS projects in a way that is as safe, effective and efficient as possible. The DCS projects are focused on replacement projects, energy reduction and cost reduction projects through improved Process Control strategy and philosophy.
The function is department crossing; has a supporting role towards the operational organization and external parties (contractors and suppliers). The work area concerns the realization of projects and improvements in the Process Control area for the site.
HBO + with preference knowledge of measurement and control technology and chemical technology. At least 5 years experience as a DCS Process Control Engineer in the (petro-) chemical industry. Knowledge of and experience with Yokogawa Centum VP, Prosafe -RS, Hima PLC and Aspentech Infoplus21. TUV functional safety engineer certified.
This role requires a hands on technical background but requires strong communication skills to integrate with operations, project managers and engineering companies
Fluent Dutch is essential.
