BUYER - CHEMICAL PRODUCTS

Our client, a global Oil & Gas Operator, are looking for a Buyer in Chemical Products to join them in their Pau office, France. The Buyer will be responsible for all stages of the purchasing process in compliance with the purchasing policies, the Code of Ethics and the Companies Code of Conduct.

Duration: 12 Months

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Pau, France

Rate: Negotiable

Job Requirements:

* Work in collaboration with the leading segment in the deployment of Cross Branch chemicals strategy.
* Challenge the prescribers in terms of needs and specifications in order to globalize needs.
* Preparation and drafting of pre-consultation and tender documents in collaboration with the Leader Segment.
* Assist and / or directly negotiate contracts and orders with suppliers.
* Ensure the interface between the suppliers and the internal customers, assist the operational staff in the management of the contracts.
* Prepare supplier performance reviews and participate in their evaluation.
* Inform and follow suppliers and specifiers on subcontracting policy, safety, quality and environment.
* Ensure the identification of the information needed by the Category Manager to carry out quantitative and qualitative monitoring of the activity.

Technical Requirements:

* Bac +5 (technical, commercial or economic type)
* Confirmed experience in Purchasing within Chemicals/Oil & Gas industry
* Operational proficiency in English & French
* Legal and financial knowledge
* Computer skills (SAP, e-Sourcing, Excel, Word)
* Good interpersonal and negotiation skills, versatility, ethics, rigor and probity, sense of confidentiality.
* Ability to influence and convince in a context of cross-cultural and multicultural management.
* Relational skills, animation, communication and teamwork
