Our Client is looking for a Treasuy Advisor to join their team on contract basis in Aberdeen.
The position will be responsible for the effective maintenance of all credit management activities. This will include continuing the implementation and application of localised credit policy, procedures and control framework and seeking required credit approvals from Leadership and Shareholders via FinCom.
The position will also be responsible for the Joint Venture's end to end LOCs process ensuring that all obligations are met within the required framework and that all required securities are posted in timely fashion.
Accountabilities
* As a key position in the Finance, Tax & Treasury team, this role will support the Corporate Reporting and Treasury Lead * There are no direct reports planned for this position, however this role will deal with a wide variety of personnel from across the UK business including legal, commercial, marketing and supply chain Key Duties
* Prepare all necessary LOC calculations within the required framework and work with joint venture, Shareholder and external banking personnel so that all required securities are posted in timely fashion * Monitor and process DSA LOC fee payable to facility banks in a timely fashion, and perform calculation of annual guarantee fee due to Shareholders in line with existing agreements * Assist in preparing DSA LOC sensitivities/analysis to support commercial negotiations for any potential A&D activity in relation to security for decommissioning obligations * Provide support to the business in drafting new field wide Decommissioning Security Agreements (DSAs) and amending existing ones * Maintain the credit management framework for the joint venture in a structured and approved manner; including managing the Credit Risk Management Committee meetings * Maintain clear representation of the respective credit requirements of the company's two Shareholders in respect of the joint venture company and agree any residual responsibilities to be maintained by parent companies as part of any ongoing service provision, as required * Gather credit intelligence from internal and external sources for counterparties, suppliers/partners and/or relationship banks to identify financial deterioration and potential credit policy triggering events * Perform credit reviews of new counterparties/suppliers/partners and make appropriate recommendations * Monitoring of creditworthiness of counterparties, suppliers/partners and/or relationship banks through rating agency actions, financial statement reviews or other. This includes reaction to and communication of material changes on a real-time basis * Provide guidance to the business on credit-related matters * Provide support to the Procurement Card process * Support the Corporate Reporting and Treasury Lead on other issues as required in the capacity of a deputy * Participate in various projects as necessary Education Attainment & Accreditation
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required and CFA or MBA or professional accounting designations preferred Professional Skills & Experience
* Experience in an oil and gas environment strongly preferred * Experience in the credit field would be preferable * Strong aptitude for numbers and analysis * Knowledge of credit related systems/software would be preferable Interpersonal Skills & Qualities
* Negotiation skills * Strong contract knowledge * Reliable, hardworking individual, capable of performing with minimal supervision in a deadline driven environment * Strong analytical skills * Able to process large amounts of data quickly, efficiently and error free * Ability to handle multiple responsibilities, set priorities and respond positively to demanding situations
