| Job Description |
|
Airswift are currently looking for a number of Lead Maintenance Engineers to work for a Qatar based Major Operator on a long term contract basis.
Description:
* Provide technical assistance to offshore maintenance controllers and relevant operations personnel to minimize maintenance problems.
* Consult with offshore maintenance controllers, the relevant departments / sections / units (e.g. asset integrity, engineering, construction etc.), contractors, and outside service groups on minor and major offshore capital and maintenance projects.
* Evaluate, design, and recommend changes in offshore maintenance activities to increase reliability of existing equipment, reduce repair costs, and minimize product interruptions.
* Develop, implement, and evaluate preventive maintenance programs, and establish testing and calibration procedures for instrument, electrical and mechanical equipment.
* Recommend, establish, and update spare parts requirements for existing mechanical equipment, in addition to evaluating repair costs and trends, and maintaining equipment repair records and logs.
* Assist other maintenance engineers on special projects of a non-routine basis.
Education:
* Minimum Bachelor's degree
Essential Experience:
* Experience working directly for an Oil & Gas Operator (Contract or Direct hire)
* Offshore experience
* Experience working in the middle east (preferably Qatar)
* Minimum 10 years experience
Skills and Competencies:
* Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
* Good analytical and judgmental skills
* Good managerial skills in a diverse workforce setting
* Good Troubleshooting skills.
* Good planner/ organizer
* Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English.
