 Job Description
PROCUREMENT ENGINEER

Our client, a global Oil & Gas Operator, are looking for a Procurement Engineer to join their team in Paris, within the category of "Electricity and Engines".

Duration: 6 months
Location: Paris
Start Date: ASAP
Rate: Negotiable

Job Requirements:

* Preparation for purchasing management
* Maintain economic, technological and competitive intelligence
* Propose new suppliers and follow the current panel of suppliers (including supplier risk monitoring).
* "Challenge" the prescribers in terms of needs and specifications in order to globalize the needs.
* Participate in the drafting and evolution of standard contracts and the improvement of the reference system.

Purchasing Management:

* Conduct all stages of the purchasing process in accordance with the companies Group's purchasing policies, the Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct.
* Participate in the drafting of pre-consultation and tender documents on high-stakes topics.
* Manage the drafting of pre-consultation and tender documents on subjects of limited importance (CA, scope, etc.)
* Lead directly or assist the sites in the negotiations of orders and contracts
* Write the contracts in compliance with the procedures and rules of operation
* Follow the portfolio of contracts and orders, assist the operational staff in the management of contracts
* Assist the operational staff in any disputes related to the Legal, Insurance and Finance Departments.
* Assist the Global Category Manager in the management of multi-site folders.

Monitoring and improving the performance of purchases:

* Follow the purchasing portfolio (usage compliance, ...) and the performance indicators.
* Check the correct application of framework contracts negotiated by the Global Category Manager.
* Prepare supplier performance reviews and participate in their evaluation
* Inform and follow suppliers and specifiers on subcontracting policy, safety, quality and environment.
* Ensure the identification of the information needed by the Global Category Manager to carry out quantitative and qualitative monitoring of the activity.

Purposes:

* Independently ensures the proper execution of its purchasing actions in terms of quality, safety, environment, reliability and deadlines in order to optimize costs, within the general framework defined by the Global Category Manager.
* Expected results: reduction of risks and costs; a panel of key suppliers optimized and diversified; purchasing acts respectful of our HSE, DD, ethical.
* Coordinate and ensure the proper development of purchasing procedures
* Advising and assisting the buyers of the branches
