The position & experience required
We are currently expanding our process optimisation function and would like to expand our engineering and process team in Portugal, with professional engineers to be based on our client sites in Portugal. We can be open with regard your background, but preferably someone from the manufacturing / industrial sector would be beneficial (packaging, paper, boxes, textiles, chemicals, pulp and related products and processes).

The responsibilities

* Identify opportunities for process improvements.
* Suggest modifications on control logics and interlocking.
* Make data analysis through the OPP system.
* Synchronize control loops.
* Identify problems or limitations on the process.
* Consolidate projects reports.
* Determine the main variable motives: problems on the project or limitation on the site; sensors / transmitters / valves failure and synchronization of control loops.
* Develop advanced control strategies.

Technical experience

* Intermediate Level English.
* Knowledge in automation and control (PID Controller, synchronization of control loops, process types: self-regulated / integrator; process modelling: 1st order, 2nd order, dead time)
* Microcomputers (Windows, outlook and office package).
* Basic knowledge of instrumentation.
* Basic knowledge of electrics.

Education
Preferably you will have a complete higher education including: Electrical engineering, electronics, mechatronics, chemistry, automation and control.
A Post-graduation in an engineering field would be an added advantage.
