Project Manager – SD2 Jackets & Subsea Fabrication Req ID 71892BR Job category PROJECTS Sub-category Project Management Countries (State/Region) Azerbaijan Location Baku Apply now Role synopsis Project Manager as Site Safety Leader (SSL) will safely manage the delivery of the two jackets, pin piles, permanent piles and subsea structures to the agreed schedule and budget. Successful candidate will be the Single Point of Accountability (SPA) for the overall management of the multinational BP Site Team and will be the Single Point of Contact (SPC) for all BP fabrication matters pertaining to the BDJF site. Project Manager will manage the relationship with the BDJF Fabrication Management Team. Key accountabilities
Accountable for the completion and handover of the jackets, piles, subsea structures and other subsea components fabricated at BDJF in accordance with BP standards of safety, quality, schedule, cost, and professional ethics. Manage and work with the contractors to achieve all project construction objectives in accordance with BP standards of safety, quality, schedule, cost, and professional ethics. Plan, mobilize, and manage a competent site organization capable of monitoring and controlling site activities to meet project objectives. Actively support the development of national staff within the BP site team. Ensure that national site staff is given the opportunity to achieve personal development goals and that expatriate team members fulfill their commitments to training & mentoring. Demonstrate a personal commitment to ensuring that a safety-focused and secure workplace is achieved through direct involvement with people and practices. Define clear organizational job descriptions, negotiate & agree terms with personnel, and hold individuals accountable for their roles & responsibilities. Performance manage the contractor and BP site team to deliver the jackets, pin piles, permanent piles, subsea structures and other related subsea components to the agreed schedule and agreed costs. Develop and maintain a site Project Execution Plan that effectively aligns with contractor execution plans. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with BP functional teams, site contractors, and stakeholder management personnel. Develop and communicate clear, effective, and timely management progress reports. Attend relevant cross-project meetings to ensure that jacket and subsea fabrication site delivery interests are protected and or addressed in an effective and timely manner, from pre-contract award through close-out. Ensure project phases are effectively closed to meet all contractual obligations and lessons learned are effectively communicated.
Essential Education
Engineering degree or equivalent. Essential experience and job requirements
Over 10 years of fabrication, construction & project management experience of offshore projects. Substantial experience in leadership roles in multi-discipline and multi-cultural environments delivering high-profile projects. Substantial experience in the performance management related to HSSE, quality & integrity, decision-making, and bias toward action. Significant engineering & construction-related leading roles in the offshore oil & gas industry. Substantial experience interfacing and working together with owner and contractor senior management and supervisory personnel. Deep understanding and experienced practitioner of BP’s Code of Conduct. Deep understanding and experienced practitioner of BP’s OMS in Project’s management system. Azerbaijan citizenship is required.
