Role synopsis

This Process Safety Management Coordinator provides technical, procedural, and training support to operations teams and is an integral part of the unit manufacturing team. This role manages unit standard operating procedures (SOP) and management of change (MOC) documents. The Process Safety Management Coordinator reports directly to the Safety & Operations Superintendent..
Key accountabilities

- Develops, maintains and updates operational procedures (normal, startup, shutdown and emergency), isolation procedures, and standing orders.
- Assists with MOC development and implementation.
- Provides scheduling input to Team Leaders for training.
- Audits areas such as process safety, personal safety, procedures, and technical competence.
- Establishes and monitors metrics to ensure procedural adherence.
- Sets performance objectives, provides guidance to leadership on how to minimize impact on the environment and communicates the importance of these issues.
- Supports the site Environmental Management System (EMS).
- Sets performance objectives and provides leadership to uphold BP's HSSE policy and supports the site Local Operating Management System (LOMS).
- Upholds BP's commitment to health, safety, and security.
Essential Education

- High school diploma or GED required.
Essential experience and job requirements

- 5+ years of plant operations experience required.
Other Requirements (e.g. Travel, Location)

Desirable criteria & qualifications

- 7+ years of plant operations preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Visio).
