Our client, an international Oil and Gas Operator are looking for a Security Coordinator to be based in their operations in Afungi, Mozambique. The role is offered with a 12 Month contract, 28 day on / 28 day off rotation and negotiable daily rate.
Job Overview:
As Security Coordinator you will be based in the Afungi Pioneer Camp, Cabo Delgado Province, Mozambique, as part of the Security Team reporting to the Northern Mozambique Security Manager.
Responsibilities:
* Maintain a productive and collaborative working relationship with the relevant Contractors
* Maintain effective oversight of the relevant Contractor security programs.
* Verify Contractor's security programs conform to contractual obligations, align with Company standards and values, and the established measures remain effective and adapted to evolving trends and threats.
* Maintain effective communications, through the established reporting process to both the Company and Contractor, of routine issues within the stipulated timeframes, and/or of non-routine events proportionate to their significance and urgency
* Maintain detailed records of the security quality assurance process
* The development of project security policies & mitigation measures.
* Liaison with the Host Government Security Forces
* Security related investigations
* Promoting and maintaining effective alignment with other project stakeholders
* Maintaining an effective information flow with the relevant stakeholder
Experience:
* Extensive experience in Security role ideally gained within Mining, Oil and Gas or Construction industries
* Ideally have Security experience gained within High Threat environments
* Must be fluent in English and Portuguese language skills would be beneficial |
