The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the timely, accurate and safe execution of Marine logistics and delivery operations, in addition to order management for Group Company customers. The role is critical in executing the customer service level aspirations of the business in an industry which is extremely service-centric. The Coordinator works closely with Marine and Group Company colleagues in the order management function and with partners in Supply Chain and/or third party Contractors across geographic locations. Key accountabilities
Be fully familiar with Marine HSSE emergency response plan and escalate potential HSSE hazards/gaps in the distribution operation appropriately
Receive & process orders in MANTA and JDE (when required) for Marine customers in the UAE and 6 marine consignment locations in the region Receive & process orders in JDE for Group Company Customers Operate as the focal point between the customers/agents and the organization through close co-ordination with the planning, procurement, warehouse, transporter and 3PL Interact with customers/order managers to provide and process information in response to inquiries, concerns and requests about product supplies and other related issues promptly and in a professional manner Ensure that MLDRNs are received from 3PL and consignment location agents are clear and submitted to Synergy on time to ensure an efficient O2C cycle Plan and schedule deliveries through the barge to vessels calling Khorfakkan, Fujairah and Kalba based on vessel ETAs to ensure that no deliveries are missed Investigate HIDS cases thoroughly and report with agreed root cause and corrective action(s) within the time agreed in the service-level agreement Co-ordinate closely with vessel agents and port authorities to update information on vessel ETA which keeps changing constantly Support business offer maintenance with information and local expertise such as addition of ports, change of conditions in a port, report deviations from standard cost etc to the CF Manager Participate/support in weekly demand control meetings and help CF Manager to update concerned Businesses – supports CF Manager to make informed decisions in concerned area of operations and communicate Demonstrate excellent telephone handling skills when dealing with customers and their representatives to deliver outstanding customer responsiveness. Ensure that all delivered orders are fulfilled in Manta as per agreed SLAs with the Marine business Processing of ISPM purchase entries for marine consignment locations Verification of spend of consignment stockists against contractual obligations and ensuring that any variations are highlighted to CF Manager Monitoring of stocks at consignment locations and alerting colleagues in Planning of potential stock out of products
Essential Education
Graduate
Essential experience and job requirements
Minimum 2 years’ experience in Logistics/Co-ordination preferably in the Arabian Gulf region
Team player, ability to operate in a cross-departmental multi-cultural environment A self-motivated person who displays initiative and creativity in problem solving/also in building and maintaining relationships Good customer service track record and excellent customer service response demonstrated Good telephonic handling skills, e-mail etiquette Good IT skills – MS Office applications and familiarity with ERP

Work experience in a Ship Supply or Scheduling environment preferred Relocation available
