Our client, an international Logistics Company are looking for a French and English speaking Base Operations Manager to be based in Nouakchott, Mauritania (x2 roles). The roles are offered with an Q1 2020 start, 28 day on / 28 day off rotation and a long term contract
Job Overview:
As Base Operations Manager you'll be responsible for ensuring that material and Personnel requirements for the project are identified and delivered safely, cost effectively and on time.
Responsibilities:
* Maintain a close working relationship with the Base team to ensure cargo priorities are clearly understood by the supply base operations team to ensure the safe, efficient and cost effective delivery of all cargo to and from offshore.
* Provide coaching and mentoring to Supply Base personnel.
* Responsible for ensuring supply base contractor routinely carries out induction, competency and training self verification checks.
* Create and deliver the relevant supply base aspects of the Operations Readiness Plan including all supply base processes and procedures
Required Qualifications and Experience:
* Ideally have a degree or diploma in a related subject
* Experience gained working on Oil and Gas projects ideally have worked on a Subsea construction project
* Experience with Personnel Logistics will be advantageous
* Supervisory experience in Supply base operations.
* Remote working experience preferred but not essential.
* French language skills will be essential |
