Our client, an international Oil and Gas Operator are looking for a Planning Engineer to be based in their project office Atyrau, Kazakhstan. The role is offered with a long term contract, 28 day on / 28 day off rotation, negotiable hourly rate and travel and accommodation provided
Job Overview:
As Planning Engineer you'll be responsible for the Detail Design/Procurement Schedule and support Senior Planning Engineer with the maintenance of the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)
Responsibilities:
* Support maintenance of Project Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and reports performance relative to Project schedule baseline and Project progress monitoring baseline. * Coordinate frequently with Planners at site to ensure consistency on reporting and alignment with IMS * Maintain Schedule Dashboards for the entire project, evaluate forecasts and recommends corrective action plans if required during project execution. * In relation to specific Detail Design and Procurement Schedule Identifies, assesses and reports deviations from plan. * Assesses the impact of schedule changes and evaluate against critical path; identify and report schedule contingency and float. * Monitors and evaluate resource allocation and productivity; provide recommendations to maintain planned progress. * Works with cost estimating team to assess potential changes and impacts to support the MOC process. * Interfaces with Project team cost personnel for expenditure forecasting, progress updates and reporting. * Performs detailed analysis of Contractor's progress to support planning and forecasting process. * Supports integration of approved Contractor baseline schedules into the Level 3 integrated Project Master Schedule.
Experience:
* Ideally have a degree in Engineering or related discipline * Extensive experience in Major Capital Projects * Preferably have gained experience on Brownfield - onshore projects in the Oil and Gas industry. |
