NDT Technician
Aker Solutions' Asset Integrity Management team based in St. John's, NL is responsible for delivering structural integrity management, integrity analysis and studies, maintenance and inspection engineering, and advanced inspection and monitoring solutions for all stages of an asset's lifecycle. We are now looking for NDT technicians who can strengthen our team.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
As an NDT Technician, you will be responsible for conducting inspection activities in accordance with approved inspection plans and internal procedures. Responsibilities and tasks include, but are not limited to:
Performing inspection activities and provide technical guidance during implementation of NDT technologies or compliance audits Adopt standard safe work practices and procedures in accordance with HSE policies and industry standards Ensure inspection equipment is maintained and ensure equipment testing and re-calibration is kept up-to-date Produce detailed reports of inspections, clearly identifying the scope and any defects or inconsistencies found

Qualifications and Personal Qualities:
Post secondary diploma in a related discipline, or a combination of relevant education and experience Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as a field inspection technician Level II certification in MT, PT, UT, and RT disciplines of Non Destructive Testing in accordance with CAN/CGSB-48.9712-2014 or equivalent standard Level I certification in ET discipline of Non Destructive Testing in accordance with CAN/CGSB-48.9712-2014 or equivalent standard Certification as a Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission Certified Exposure Device Operator Level I certification to CSA W 178.2-14 or equivalent standard IRATA Rope Access Certification is considered an asset Training/Certification in Lifting Gear and Crane Inspection is considered an asset Must be able to travel offshore on periodic visits and completion of mandatory safety training required for work offshore Proficient use of Microsoft Office
