Aker Solutions Asset Integrity Management team based in St. John's, NL is responsible for delivering structural integrity management, integrity analysis and studies, maintenance and inspection engineering, advanced inspection and monitoring solutions for all stages of an asset's life-cycle. We are now looking for Rope Access Technicians who can strengthen our team.



Responsibilities and Tasks:
As a Rope Access Technician, you will be responsible for rope access activities in accordance with approved work plans. Responsibilities and tasks include but are not limited to:

    Responsible for ensuring safe work practices are followed in accordance with legislation and scope of work

    Responsible for various tasks while working at heights

    Perform specific job functions as they related to work orders

    Ensure operational safety of all rope access equipment

    Responsible for completing inspection services while at heights or in hard to access areas


As a Rope Access Technician, the following behavioural competencies are required to effectively deliver results:

    Following Instructions and Procedures – Appropriately follows instructions from others without unnecessarily challenging authority; follows procedures and policies

Qualifications and Personal Qualities:

    Level I, II, or III IRATA certification

    Minimum 2 years' experience

    Willing to work in various environments / working conditions

    Experience in a supervisory role (Level III)

    Experience and certification as a NDT inspector, industrial painter, insulator, pipe fitter, welder, mechanic would be considered an asset

    Must be willing to travel offshore and to complete mandatory safety training required for work offshore or at various sites
