Our client, an international EPC Company have a new requirement for a Procurement Manager to be based in their Project Office in Rome, Italy. The position is offered with a negotiable hourly rate and long term contract.
Job Overview:
As Procurement Manager you'll be responsible for developing and implementing project procurement plans whilst holding the responsibility for assisting in defining the project procurement strategy throughout the FEED / EPC phase
Responsibilities:
* Identifying, evaluating, and resolving Procurement issues during the early work phase
* and EPC phase.
* Managing and reviewing EPC Contractor procurement activities.
* Reviewing a sourcing strategy that best meet schedule, and statutory requirements of the
* EPC contract.
* Monitoring Project procurement control documents, e.g., milestone status report,
* un- priced Purchasing Commitment Report.
* Ensuring that equipment and material are purchased, properly received, stored,
* maintained, and made available when needed by construction.
* Ensuring that responsibilities for material management are clearly defined and
* understood by the PMC Project team.
* Ensuring that engineering disposition and approval are obtained on vendor deviation
* requests after purchase order award.
* Ensure the managing of the Project special tools, commissioning and start-up spare parts
* and Two years' normal operation spare parts.
* Reviewing the following key deliverables submitted by EPC contractor:
Required Qualifications and Experience:
* Ideally degree qualified or equivalent
* CIPS Certification (or working towards) or equivalent professional PSCM qualification
* Experience gained working on Oil and Gas Projects
* Experience gained working within a PMC / PMT team on a large Oil and Gas Refinery will be advantageous |
