Aker Solutions Maintenance Modifications and Operations (MMO), based in Aberdeen, is responsible for delivering quality service, safely, on time, within budget whilst ensuring the technical integrity of onshore and offshore assets. We actively promote the highest standards of HSEQ and at all times act within the Aker Solutions Just Care procedures. The (construction / commissioning / maintenance / operations) department, consisting of experienced, multi-discipline personnel within one of our ongoing projects is seeking to strengthen the team through the recruitment of an experienced Instrument Commissioning Technician. Responsibilities and Tasks:
Read and interpret instrument drawings and line diagrams Installation, testing & commissioning associated with: Field mounted instruments and associated transmitters, this includes level, pressure, temperature and flow instrumentation, Fire and Gas Detection & Protection Systems, Hydraulic and pneumatic valve actuators and associated controls, Pneumatic, hydraulic or electronic instrument control equipment of a conventional nature employed for standard process control, Control valves and associated controls, Programmable Logic Controller Systems, Metering Systems, Hazardous Area Equipment, Analysers, Process System Control Valve Assemblies Pneumatic Process Controllers and Associated Input, Output Components Distributed Control Systems Assembling and Testing of Small Bore Tubing Systems Carry out Pressure Testing, trip testing, fault finding and loop checking on PLC's, alarms etc
Qualifications and Personal Qualities:
Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 2 or NVQ Level 3 equivalent in relevant trade discipline ONC in an engineering discipline or City and Guilds in a related trade P.T.W. / I.S.S.O.W Compex Hazardous Areas Survival Medical EBS MIST Demonstrable experience in oil & gas industry Experience in offshore construction and commissioning
