Our client, an international Pharmaceutical Company are looking for a Planning Engineer to be based in their project offices in Cologne, Germany. The role will be offered with a long term contract and negotiable daily rate.
Job Overview:
As Planning Engineer you'll be responsible for; Ensure implementation of planning & scheduling activities for a given project, programme or portfolio of activity.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement an integrated planning / scheduling approach for the programme and the capital project, leveraging all work stream leads taking into account the programme and team structure and capability.
* Develop conceptual project, programme schedule using minimal information that is typically available at early stages working with assigned Programme Director and work stream leads
* Develop the resource requirements with respect to planning and scheduling including the roles and responsibilities
* Define how all the various schedules in the programme will be coordinated and interfaced i.e. full integrated programme schedule or defined milestones to provide rolled up programme schedule.
* Provide input to the review and analysis of RFP and bids from A/E, CM and other key vendors if appropriate
* Input to specific capital project control plans
* Review project and programme change orders for appropriate programme schedule impacts; ensure the capital project and other work streams are incorporating changes appropriately in control schedules.
Experience:
* Degree in Construction Management, Business, Engineering or equivalent
* Bio-pharmaceutical experience & knowledge
* related experience in project control, planning / scheduling and / or construction management, with a thorough knowledge of CPM scheduling fundamentals. Conceptual & Detailed cost estimating experience
* Engineering/Design and Construction field experience.
* Hands-on experience with cost and schedule risk analysis
* Certification in Project Control/Cost Engineering or Project Management is a plus
* Demonstrated expertise and experience in major scheduling software including Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, etc. |
