 |
Purpose of the Job: The Functional Safety Engineer is to ensure that Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), and other relevant parts of the Integrated Control and Safety System (ICSS) installed on the project meet National, International and client standards and support delivery of a safe and reliable plant to the planned cost and schedule. Specific Role Requirements:
* Degree qualified and chartered or equivalent in appropriate engineering discipline; * More than 15 years' experience in Engineering role in Oil and gas or Petrochemical setting; * Operations/Maintenance of SIS experience and/or implementation for a Functional Safety Management Lifecycle Plan would be a significant advantage;
Experienced Engineer; Sound knowledge of key disciple areas including: knowledge of IEC 61508 and IEC 61511 norms and their practical application to projects; layer of Protection Analysis and QRA; programming languages: Function Block Diagram, Sequential Function Chart, Structured Text; alarm management; human Machine Interface; knowledge of ISA 99 and IEC 62443 norms and their practical application to projects; the operation of a project with a Main Automation Contractor. |
