Aker Solutions Maintenance Modifications and Operations (MMO), based in Aberdeen, is responsible for delivering quality service, safely, on time, within budget whilst ensuring the technical integrity of onshore and offshore assets. We actively promote the highest standards of HSEQ and at all times act within the Aker Solutions Just Care procedures. The (construction / commissioning / maintenance / operations) department, consisting of experienced, multi-discipline personnel within one of our ongoing projects is seeking to strengthen the team through the recruitment of an experienced Pipefitters for 1 trip with the potential for further trips. Responsibilities and Tasks:
Attend and provide input to Tool Box Talks Read, understand and implement all applicable company / project policies, working practices and procedures, ensuring at all times that the TRADE workscope is completed safely and to a high standard Ensure that Construction Supervisor is informed of any delays to preparatory work that would impact or significantly delay the schedule Attend Risk Assessments (RA) when required in order to complete workscope in a safe and controlled manner Complete all workscope in accordance with applicable workpack / jobcard instructions, associated procedures and drawings / sketches Able to read and understand piping and steelwork drawings and produce sketches and drawings for pipe fabrications Able to mark, set out and fabricate assemblies, pipe supports etc from sketches or drawings Carry out assembling and tightening of bolted flanged connections Set and mark out pipework, and develop patterns for pipework Preparing pipe ends for welding, assemble screwed pipework, welded pipework and non-metallic pipework, fabricate branches and bends, prepare and test pipework systems including pressure testing
Qualifications and Personal Qualities:
Apprenticeship or Level 2 NVQ equivalent in relevant trade discipline ONC in an engineering discipline or City and Guilds in a related trade or an NVQ level 3 in related trade BOSIET, MIST, CA EBS Hand Torque Bolted Connection Techniques (MJI 10) prev PF10 or Technical Competence Assessment Hydraulic Tension Bolted Connection Techniques (MJI18) prev PF18 or Technical Competence Assessmen Hydraulic Torque Bolted Connection Techniques (MJI19) prev PF19 or Technical Competence Assessment Experience in using P.T.W or I.S.S.O.W Working at Height Awareness Manual Handling Awareness
