Aker Solutions' Machining Team based in Port Klang, is responsible in producing all CNC programming and machining. The department is looking for a Production Engineer - XMT who can strengthen our team and support our ambitious growth plans within the Malaysia market.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
To demonstrate full commitment to produce Manufacturing processes & CNC programs that are fully compliant with the companies policies, high quality and safety requirements
To create and develop setups, method sheets & CNC programs for machine shop
To make sure the produced CNC programs are proved and optimized by utilizing programming software and lean manufacturing methods
To monitor machining times and optimize it from time to time by reducing waste & implementing new machining techniques and methods
To maintain the proven CNC program database at all time, matching the revisions of programs against the engineering technical drawings
To design & maintain the jigs and fixtures database with drawings and revision levels. (knowledge of SMED advantageous)
To demonstrate full commitment to work closely with machinists, QC Inspectors and machine shop cell controllers
To produce all manufacturing processes with the highest level of safety in mind & actively participate in Safety briefings
Qualifications and Personal Qualities:
Minimum engineering background in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering or machining discipline
Minimum 5 years relevant experience
Knowledge of writing CNC programs with and without utilizing programming software
Knowledge in using Solid-works, Auto-cad & Edge-cam software
Knowledge of CNC multi axis machine tools with live tooling (Siemens controls advantageous)
Knowledge on reading and interpreting measuring equipment
Familiar with geometrical tolerances
Ability to understand machining processes
Familiar with the use of bottle boring tools, facing & boring heads
In depth knowledge of lean manufacturing processes and methodology
Knowledge of using in process probing and measuring systems
