Marketing, Midstream and Processing (MMP) shall maximise corporate value creation in Statoil’s mid- and downstream business through safe, reliable and efficient operations. We are responsible for capturing the full value potential of all marketed and traded products such as crude oil, liquids and natural gas.
MMP AM MNA Ops. is responsible for handling the commercial operations role for Statoil's Midstream activities in North America (Crude Oils, Gas Liquids & Natural Gas). This role covers all midstream operations activities associated with bringing the company’s equity commodities from wellhead to market. Currently, MMP AM MNA handles equity production from Gulf of Mexico, Marcellus, Eagle Ford, Bakken and Canada’s Oil Sands. The MMP AM MNA Operations activities are handled by an operations group dispersed between Statoil’s Austin, Calgary and Stamford offices. One area of responsibility assigned to MID Operations is to provide business and analytic support for the MPR Asset Managers of Marcellus & Eagle Ford. Like to be one of us?

Purpose of position: To be a primary resource responsible for supporting MNA Crude and/or Gas operations functions associated with Marcellus, Eagle Ford and Bakken Assets. (Depending on needs of evolving team) Responsible for the trucking transportation of crude oil and condensate (onshore) purchased by Statoil Marketing & Trading from Statoil’s production affiliates and third parties. Responsible for the Midstream pipeline transportation of crude oil and condensate (onshore & GOM) purchased by Statoil Marketing & Trading from Statoil’s production affiliates and third parties. and/or Fully support MNA Gas Operations role – interfacing directly with Production and Purchaser operations Support analysis of production forecasts (focused on Marcellus , Eagle Ford & GOM assets) Responsibilities and Duties: (Depending on needs of evolving team) Crude operations: Handle crude & condensate trucking activities (currently Statoil’s shale production areas in Eagle Ford and Bakken) – contracting/planning/scheduling & executing plan Handle crude & condensate ‘gathering’ pipeline activity - (currently Statoil’s shale production areas in Eagle Ford, Bakken & GOM) – planning & scheduling Support production Asset Managers with Midstream operations and domestic logistics expertise. Support crude oil trading group with Midstream operations and domestic logistics expertise. Interface closely with volume settlement and accounting functions Interface closely with transportation (trucking & pipeline) reconciliation and settlement functions and/or Gas operations: Fully back-up MNA Gas Operations role Monitor field production at all Statoil operated facilities in order to assure proper gas flow. Learn the outlet options and capabilities, then feel comfortable making decisions regarding flow through same. Be on call on the weekend to monitor midstream points and make adjustments needed to ensure sales are met and production flows. Keep all marketers up to date with changes that occur in flow so they can make adjustments when necessary. This includes NGL’s and gas. Additional potential tasks Support analysis of production forecasts (provided by upstream for operated and non-operated areas of the Midstream Assets) Interface as key liaison for production forecast with (Upstream) & JV partners Maintain understanding of forecasts - and changes Promulgate updated forecasts to relevant stakeholders identifying changes Maintain reports & presentations as required Work closely with asset managers and others in midstream operations to develop strong Midstream competence
Qualifications
Equivalent Education Level Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Finance, or Business Administration Job Knowledge Requirements and Most Critical Job Skills: 3 or more years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry Oil and/or Gas operational experience a preference Strong analytical and evaluation skills Strong competency in Microsoft Excel Experience in the Midstream segment of the energy industry preferred Familiarity w/ onshore/similar oil/gas gathering infrastructure & transportation (truck/pipeline) Knowledge regarding system reconciliation/balancing of oil and/or gas volumes Accounting or invoice handling experience is preferred
