Marketing, Midstream and Processing (MMP) shall maximise corporate value creation in Statoil’s mid- and downstream business through safe, reliable and efficient operations. We are responsible for capturing the full value potential of all marketed and traded products such as crude oil, liquids and natural gas.
MMP MT is responsible for:
Worldwide marketing and trading of oil and gas commodities (crude, condensate, gas liquids, products, natural gas and LNG), electricity and emissions
Commercial optimization of MMP’s positions in the commodity markets
Commercial planning and optimization of Statoil’s refineries and the refined products value chain
Optimal physical and commercial use of infrastructure commitments
Marketing the Norwegian state’s petroleum (SDFI) in accordance with the Marketing instruction
Coordinate and manage MMP’s relations with Petro and MPE
The corporate responsibility for macroeconomic and energy market analysis
The corporate responsibility for the Marketing and Supply process owner
Manage MMP’s legislative, regulatory and policy issues, and provide governmental and regulatory support globally in cooperation with MMP COM
Provide MMP with global support services within contracts management, claims and demurrage, settlement and deal handling, business solutions, and customer service Like to be one of us?

Purpose of the position: This position will directly report to Leader MMP MT OPI Contracts America and will have close interaction and network with global Statoil offices Senior Contract Consultant is responsible for dealing with counterparty contracts/confirmations from contract award to contract close out to ensure full compliance with Statoil’s requirements Ensure all North America MT and AM contract activities are completed in accordance with Statoil’s Business Processes, legal and tax requirements and adhere to Statoil’s corporate requirements, including any required reporting to Corporate Management, internal and external authorities, and the provisions of Statoil Mandates Responsibilities and Duties: Preparation and issue of physical and derivative sales and purchase contracts and confirmations related to sales, trading and supply, and infrastructure for both short-term and long-term contracts. Tasks and responsibilities include the following: Preparation of midstream, downstream, shipping, field, storage, and terminal contracts and related service agreements to support the complete sales, trading and supply service requirements globally. Evaluation of conditions of sales to/from customers, including Incoterms. Provide advice, coordinate and liaise on contractual matters with various Marketing & Trading and Asset Management functions including Trading, Asset Manager, Operations, Finance, Risk, Legal, Tax, Ship, HSE Coordination with Marketing & Trading offices in Houston, Calgary, Austin, Stavanger, London and Singapore in contractual matters Verify quality of trading system entries; system generated and counterparty confirmations/contracts. Daily handling of Marketing & Trading/Asset Management confirmations/contracts within Statoil’s contract systems Generate confirmations/contracts according to deal entry Receipt/review/response to counterparty confirmations/contracts Handling counterparty responses to confirmations/contracts; receipt/review/response to third-party paper. Ensure Statoil and Contracts Department compliance and adherence to Statoil’s business process requirements. Daily filing of confirmation/contract documents into document retention systems. Participate in further development of guidelines, systems and routines within the area of responsibility. File, scan and copy documents, as required. Attend seminars and/or programs applicable to keeping apprised of new industry standards and practices as requested and approved by Leader. Qualifications
Education: Minimum Bachelor’s Degree, Law Degree/ Maritime Law Degree, industry experience will be considered Experience: Knowledge in contract formulation and/or contract administration relating to commodities; e.g., oil / gas market, regulatory/shipping industry, claims, law, trading, regulatory, railcar, shipping and FERC regulations a plus Skills required: Candidate must be proficient in, with a strong, hands-on, knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, and SharePoint Experience in negotiating contracts Candidate must be willing to learn Statoil’s systems
