Duties & Responsibilities
   

Main Duties and Resposibilities:

    Dealing with client enquiries, organisation and execution of jobs following work instructions, with specific emphasis on specialist techniques. Required to assist SIS Management in day to day activities.
    Responsible for equipment, maintenance and QHSE (Oceaneering and Client) documentation control. This will include current SIS equipment, but also keeping abreast of technical developments within the industry and assessing if the technology will benefit the department.
    To further train and qualify in Standard and Non-Standard NDT disciplines as well as perform in-house Training for all grades of technicians. This will include annual assessments of technicians to ensure competency and aid continual improvement.
    Maintaining the sample diary and assessing the requirements for sample acquisition.
    Working alongside the SIS Technical Management team in maintaining procedures relating to the chosen discipline, generating techniques and managing the quality control of the method.
    Assist the Technical Management team in Business development, including up-dating information sheets and attending open days and workshops.
    Travel alone or as part of a team, to be self sufficient and organised in pre job preparation, execution and post job activities including reporting and job file completion.


   
Qualifications
   

Qualifications and Skills Required:

Essential:

    Valid Driving License
    GCSE qualifications (min 5) to include Maths, English & Science related subjects and A-Level qualifications
    Level II qualifications in N.D.T. disciplines
    Level 3 Standard or Non-Standard NDT Qualification for one discipline or the capacity to work towards the qualification

Preferred:

    Magnetic Particle Inspection / Dye Penetrant Inspection / NDT Appreciation / Manual Handling / Company & Offshore Medical / Offshore Survival / Contractors Passport to Safety / Confined Space Training.
    Degree Honours in associated Engineering discipline.
    Standard NDT qualifications to level 3 as a minimum and Non-Standard qualifications as determined by the SIS Management.
    10 years work experience within an Inspection organisation. Including oil, gas and power generation environments
    Willingness to travel worldwide.
    Ongoing experience provided.¿
    Previous employment in an Engineering/Inspection environment with the appropriate qualifications and training.
    IT skills including the use of: Microsoft Office, Auto-Cad and Manufacturer specific software for Advanced technologies, specifically Tomoview.
