Duties & Responsibilities
To ensure the safe, efficient and profitable day-to-day operation of the department. To identify and develop profitable new business opportunities.
Essential Duties and Responsiblities including the following: Other duties may be assigned.
Oversee the planning and organisation of the workflow within a team to the required standards and time constraints Responsible for managing and developing staff Oversee the planning and organisation of appropriate allocation of resources Evaluate new systems of work, techniques and equipment Assist contracts co-ordinator with the preparation of tenders and quotes Manage service contracts Ensure all working procedures, practices and systems are followed Manage personnel carrying out field investigation and inspections Liase with clients as required and ensure good relationships are maintained Ensure projects are completed to deadlines Ensure accurate and detailed records are maintained Assist the cost accountant with the preparation and management of the departmental budget Ensure adequate information is provided to the invoice co-ordinators to prepare and issue invoices in an accurate and timely manner The list of job duties is not exclusive or exhaustive and the post holder will be required to undertake tasks that may reasonably be expected within the scope of the post
General
Assist with any other duties as and when required Undertake specific projects as instructed by management
Safety
Ensure that the Safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to so far as is reasonably practicable in order to ensure a safe working environment
Other
Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems on the Company Eliminate waste of whatever form, to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment

PCN qualifications (Level II minimum) in a minimum of 2 NDT disciplines (E) This is a single Status Position.
Education and/or Experience
10 years experience in an inspection or NDT environment (E) 6 years experience in a managerial role (E) Thorough knowledge of NDT, HT and Testing Operations (E) Interpersonal skills (E) Organisational skills (E)
