Duties & Responsibilities
   

Essential Duties and Responsibilities includes the following.

·        Work with customers very early in the sales cycle, generally beginning during the FEED or pre-FEED stages, well before formal requests for quotation are made, so that Oceaneering            can help customers to find solutions to field development challenges, and so that Oceaneering can develop competitive advantages.

·        Assist Account Managers and Proposal Teams in formulating the content requirements for technical proposals.

·        Assist in the pre-proposal clarification process, ensuring that customer specifications and other documents are well-understood by other OUS personnel.

·        Review exceptions generated by proposal teams for inclusion in proposals, including assessment of the impact the exceptions will have on the probability of being awarded the work.

·        Provide Engineering and other functional groups involved in Proposal Development with information beyond that contained in the written RFQ, such as customer drivers and                  preferences, competitor information, and personal preferences of key buying influences.

·        Review technical proposal content, ensuring that proposals are professional, clear, complete and accurate, and that the proposal makes clear to customers the scope on offer and the    boundaries of that scope

·        Coordinate and cooperate with other Sales and Engineering personnel from other Oceaneering locations on issues regarding design philosophy, proposal content, presentations, etc.

·        Participate in Continuous Improvement, Process Improvement and Product Development projects, both globally and locally.

·        Work with customers to identify future product development, capital investment, or technology needs, quantify demand, and assist in preparing the economic justification for related expenditures.

·        Responsibilities may require occasional overseas travel.

   
Qualifications
   

·        Education and/or Experience:  Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college with a degree in Engineering.

·        Mandatory: Minimum ten years experience of offshore oil and gas industry, including minimum five years experience of subsea umbilical design.

·        Preferred: Experience of subsea hardware design; subsea engineering and/or project engineering; bids and proposal development; project management.

·        Language Skills: In order to work closely with customers in a variety of countries, as well as with counterparts in other factories, high-level fluency in the English language is essential.          Ability to generate content for technical proposals; ability to respond clearly to customer queries both verbally and in writing.  Ability to give presentations to both large and small              groups.

·        Computer Skills:  Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel required, and knowledge of Microsoft Project and Visio desirable.  Ability to read CAD documents required.  Ability to interpret FEA and dynamic analysis output desirable.
