Purpose / Role
To deliver a high quality, consistent support service to the Deck Foreman/HLO’s (in accordance with Project / Company) requirements, standards and procedures. Under the direction of the Deck Foreman/HLO the Rigger/Deck will develop simple/routine lift plans aligned to the requirements of the asset plan. To execute approved lift plans. To manage the Rigging Loft. To fulfil the role of Deck Crew under the direction of the Deck Foreman/HLO To act as Helideck Assistant (HDA) under the direction of the HLO (a minimum of Helideck Assistant Initial training MUST be completed before performing these duties) To ensure all that all work scope is completed in a safe manner ensuring no detrimental impact to personnel, fabric or environment

To perform all required discipline tasks, safely, consistently and in accordance with project requirements, procedures and specifications.
Prime responsibilities and duties
Produces lift plan for approval by the onshore Lifting Technical Coordinator. Understanding of and development of lifting plans. Responsible for the control of the Rigging Loft and associated lifting equipment. Carry out rigging activities in accordance with approved plans. Undertake offshore deck, marine and aircraft activities. Carry out emergency response duties as required Read, understand and implement all applicable company / project policies, working practices and procedures, ensuring at all times that the rigging / erection work scope is completed, in compliance with LOLER regulations and to a high standard of safety. Complete all work scope in accordance with applicable workpack / jobcard instructions, associated procedures and drawings / sketches Provide support to other trades/disciplines where required, or form part of an integrated multi-discipline team. Raising applicable Permit to Work (PTW) in order to complete work scope in a controlled and safe manner. Undertake appropriate Risk Assessments (RA) in order to complete work scope in a safe and controlled manner. Participate and contribute to Amec Foster Wheeler and Client Emergency Response procedure and process.

Qualifications/Training
Essential:
Appropriate documented evidence confirming the trade OPTIO Rigging Assessment Stage 3/4 or ECITB Level 3 Diploma in Moving Engineering Construction Loads (see note 1 below) OPTIO Banksman/Slinger Stage 3/4 LOLER Planning & Risk Assessment Mandatory offshore certificates Rigging Loft Management course Working at Height Harness/Equipment User Capability to perform allocated emergency duties AMEC mandatory training, induction, MIST, working at height harness user, risk awareness Lifting Equipment Inspection
Note 1: OPITO Rigging Stage 3/4 Assessment to be taken within 6 months of engagement.

Experience
Essential:
Demonstrable relevant experience in safe offshore operations. Demonstrable relevant experience in rigging & lifting operations (CV). Knowledge of inspection for malfunction, wear and tear, stress deformation, corrosion, misuse of, and alterations to the original design of lifting appliances and moving such items from possible use. Be knowledgeable of the requirements of Equipment Certification and maintaining a Lifting Equipment Log in compliance with LOLER.
Desirable:
Prior experience in production of lift plans. Prior deck crew experience. Prior rigging/construction experience. Demonstrable offshore experience in rigging & lifting operations.
