Job Description

We are currently looking for a Plant and Equipment Fitter to join our already established team based in Consett, Durham.

The Plant fitter will be responsible for the planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs to our fleet of Hydraulic Drill Rigs, Vehicles, Drilling equipment and tooling.
Roles And Responsibilities

Duties include:

    Carry out maintenance and repair activities both on site and in the workshop to a high standard.
    Complete duties in line with company procedure, policies and health and safety regulations
    Report accurately on daily activities including logging of all works and parts used
    Identify, and report to line manager on equipment conditions that could lead to damage or downtime
    Contribute to the continuous development of workshop and PPM maintenance systems
    Prioritising work to ensure the company complies with Health and Safety regulations whilst minimising downtime

Requirements

Successful applicants will possess a minimum of 5 GCSE passes (or equivalent) including English and Maths, hold a full driving licence and an NVQ in engineering maintenance or equivalent. Welding and fabrication experience would be advantageous.
Additional Details

Ideally you will enjoy working as a part of a team, be flexible and open to change.  Regular travel will be required, with extended time periods on project locations likely.  You must also have the ability to communicate well with others both orally and written.  Ability to work under minimal supervision is a must.
