Exploitation Manager
Location: Beijing - China
The Exploitation Manager responsibility is to ensure optimal reserves recovery, cost effective development schemes and integrated solutions from multiple disciplines related to capital expenditures. Duties include supervisory role in reservoir or exploitation-related engineering and G & G applications and specifically the development of field development plans and their execution. Responsible for technical and management oversight of all subsurface, drilling, completion, remedial, workover, stimulation activities, reservoir management and exploitation planning, surface facilities and production engineering. Supervises all Subsurface, Drilling, Production and Facilities Engineering personnel assigned to asset(s). Interacts with Client management on subsurface, drilling, production and surface facilities and/or asset-related issues. The position reports to the SPM Asset Director or Manager(s) and functionally to SPM Chief Field Development.
Successful Exploitation Managers build strong and efficient subsurface, drilling, production engineering and surface facilities teams. They ensure technical integrity of all subsurface activities covering multiple disciplines: geophysics, geology, petrophysics, geomodelling, reservoir engineering and petroleum engineering. They build and maintain relationships with key SPM counterparts and stakeholders, both within SPM and partners/JVs, in order to influence all matters relating to subsurface, well construction, production enhancement, surface facilities, field development and asset management
Responsibilities
Develop long-term subsurface, well construction, well intervention, production engineering and surface facilities engineering processes in terms of field development, management and execution.
Develop strong strategic relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
Participate in subsurface, well, production and surface facilities engineering and delivery processes.
Takes all necessary actions for the success of the asset(s).
Implement portfolio and project control processes for budget, scope and schedule
Understanding of the asset management, capital planning and field development execution concepts.
Complies with contract requirements, quality management systems and QA/QC Plan
Supports responsibility for the delivery of defined elements (technical, commercial, operational etc) of the subsurface, well construction, well intervention, production enhancement and surface facilities activities under his/her control as defined in the alliance/project(s).
Ensures asset management processes are in place and effectively applied in all aspects of risk, contractor, human resources, procurement and contracting, quality, communications, etc.
Support in maximizing the value of the asset by managing triple constraints: cost, schedule and quality.
Maximizes the benefits of synergetic effect in between assets in the region.
Governance and stewardship of QHSE across the portfolio whether under his/her direct control or not.
Qualifications
University Technical Degree
Minimum 20 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry with a solid track record in similar roles.
Proven track record of reservoir and exploitation management.
Proficient in Chinese and English language and having good communication skills.
