Laboratory Technician/Supervisor
Location: Houston - United States
The Field Laboratory Technician is a key technical contributor working in the area of Geology, Geophysics or Geomechanics.
Successful Position holders are excellent communicators, enjoy solving problems and display leadership qualities.
Responsibilities:
To lead a team of technicians in field and lab core processing
To train and mentor junior technicians
The Field/Lab technician prepares rock samples for testing
Performing various physical properties test on rock material in laboratory setting
Conducts integrated data analysis
Travel to well site to collect core or perform test
Contributes in specific technical area with client
Represents the organization at service quality meeting
Performs other tasks as required to ensure the effectiveness of the position
Complies with applicable company policies, including Personnel, Quality System and Health, Safety and Environment standards and procedures
Successfully complete required safety training (including but not limited to drugs and alcohol, emergency response, first aid, health and hygiene, PPE, SIPP, risk reporting, IT security, hazardous materials, driving)
Employee may be assigned other duties, in addition to or in lieu of those described above, and any duties are subject to change at any time, according to the needs of the location or company
Qualifications:
Diploma in related Sciences
Minimum 5 years’ related experience
Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in the US, without sponsorship
