JOB DESCRIPTION
Basic Function:
Perform Technician Level III Repair and Maintenance activities of Directional Drilling Tools.
Duties, Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
Adhere to Safety procedure and policies in accordance with safety management system, Including:
Active participation and contribution to specific safety initiatives in meetings. Report all hazardous and unsafe acts. Actively promote positive safety culture.
Adhere to quality procedure and policies in accordance with the ISO9002 (where applicable) quality assurance system, Including:
Compliance to work instructions. Raising corrective actions for all non-conformances. Identifying areas requiring improvement and / or audit.
Adhere to main job responsibilities:
Performs all duties associated with R&M Technician – MLWD III (as necessary) Performs full disassembly, inspection, assembly, and testing of pulsars, including main valve and control valve when service is required Performs full service (disassembly, inspection, assembly, testing, and calibration when required) of drivers, BAPS, gammas, flow diverters, extensions, interconnects, and batteries. Performs assembly and disassembly of NDT collars, and testing, calibration, and inspection of neutron and density inserts. Completes and collects required service records and documentation, and stores electronic copies online and hard copies in files. Performs failure analysis and update analysis in the Reliability database. Performs CR’s, NCR’s, Work Order Requests, Work Orders, PFTs, TERs, and read and file all tech alerts. Assists R&M Technicians – MLWD I and MLWD II in their roles when necessary. Mentors R&M Technician – MLWD II, and MLWD Trainees Maintains all shop equipment and tools in good working order Maintains a clean and safe work environment. Performs various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job. Demonstrates a personal commitment to Quality, Health, Safety and the Environment. A safe and healthy workplace for all employees. enforcing all safety precautions and practices; promoting safe work practices; Attending mandatory safety meetings and maintaining Company property and equipment in safe operating conditions at all times. Knows, understands, and promotes Weatherford’s Enterprise Excellence Process and the Quality Policy and complies with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions of Weatherford.
Required Skills:
Mechanically inclined Self-sufficient, ability to work under demanding conditions. Works well with others. Technical knowledge of Drilling Systems products and Services Excellent communication, organization, troubleshooting and teamwork skills A positive attitude and a high degree of self-discipline and motivation.
Required Education:
Previous experience equivalent to a R&M Technician – MWD Trainee Associates or Technical Degree in Engineering Technology or Science
Required Experience:
Previous experience as a R&M Technician II and III
