Description
1. Scope of Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate and direct quality program designed to ensure consistency with established standards. Establish proposed quality and reliability expectancy of finished product and direct inspectors over testing activities.
2. Primary Duties
QA/QC Engineer has all the responsibility of QC Inspector in addition to this he shall, Review contract documents to ensure identification and comprehension of quality requirements. Participate in internal & external audits and assessments. Supervise Other Contractors QC personnel. Implement Project inspection and test Plans, collate Inspection Results, coordinate field inspection activities of Petrofac and Third Party Inspection agencies. Identify specific requirements in the contract, which require to be addressed separately and need to be controlled through specific procedures. Prepare accordingly documents relevant to data control, inspection reporting procedure, technical queries and procedures for concessionary reports. Coordinate all inspection requirements.Set up a system for tracking inspection notifications and execution of inspection until a release note is issued. Control the number of inspection.Verify product for its compliance to approved data sheets drawings, witness testing as approved by ITP. Produce necessary inspection report and release notes. Integrate with and work alongside the quality team and perform all related tasks as and when requested by the supervisor. Provide technical inputs for vendor queries, conformance reports and non-conformance reports. Review vendor queries, CR (Conformance Reports), NCR (Non Conformance Reports) for possible resolutions and analyse fitness to purpose. Provide necessary recommendations that need to be forwarded to the client.
3. Job/Cost Impact
All actions and review by the quality engineer has direct impact on quality, cost and time of the project.
4. Decision Making Authority
Can take all decisions related to inspection, welding, material and NDT. Perform other decisions in consultation with quality manager and project manager.

NDT Inspectors Painting and Coating Inspectors QC Inspectors Other Contractor’s QC Inspectors

7. Competencies/Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
8. Physical Effort and Work Environment
Physical effort – medium to high. Environment – medium to harsh, construction site/fabrication shop, working at height and in confined space.
9. Minimum Requirement
Engineering Graduate with 10 years of relevant QC discipline related to Oil & Gas industry. Welding Engineering Certificate AWS CWI or CSWIP 3.1 or better ASNT Level II UT, RT, PT, MT. (To have been held for a minimum of three years). CSWIP, PCN will also be acceptable. NACE / BGAS / IRCA certification is a plus Iraqi National Only
