QA QC Manager

 

Scope of Responsibilities

To ensure all works are undertaken in-line with the Quality Management system.

 

Primary Duties

- The role is to manage quality control and quality engineering involved in developing and the execution of systems, products or services and to ensure they are designed and produced to meet or exceed client requirements and expectations. Quality Assurance will cover design, development, production, installation, commissioning, sub-contractor servicing, documentation and certification.

- Leading quality control and quality assurance in modification and designs ensuring they conform to international standards, codes, classes and practices.

- Identify problems in the management of quality systems and pose plausible solutions and implement those solutions

- Ensure of NDT Sub-contractors certification, methods, competency and certification issued to client

- Ensure of lifting equipment certification

- Ensure quality assurance is embedded in all documents and procedures as necessary and approve as required

- Provide Management input to work packs

- Advise on quality to teams engaged on site vessel, plant repair and maintenance activities

- Review company welding procedures and advise on welding codes

- Ensure inspect material on of certification and ensure what has been supplied meets the specification requested

- Review completion reports for quality of data

- Management of specialist inspectors for civil work with respect to quality

- Site maintenance quality audits to cover the following:

- Participate in audits, inspections and safety observation tours as directed by line manager or client.

- Ensure all works are executed in-line with the QMS.

 

 

Job/Cost Impact

Provides Operational support as per schedule and within deadlines. Delivery impact situations are reviewed by the supervisor.

 

Decision Making Authority

Consults with Management on Quality procedures and standards.

Competencies/Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Manage quality control and quality engineering involved in developing and the execution of systems, products or services and to ensure they are designed and produced in-line with the QMS. Quality Assurance will cover design, development, production, installation, commissioning, sub-contractor servicing, documentation and certification.

 

Physical Effort and Work Environment

Duties performed in Main Office mostly in air-conditioned surroundings and involves very limited physical effort

 

Minimum Requirement

- Minimum of 15 years’ experience in Petrochemical or Oil and Gas project/operations

- Degree qualified with proven QA / QC experience

- Proven management and team lead experience

- Excellent communication skills in verbal and written briefs and skilled in report writing and compilation

- Proven analytical skills for problem solving and providing solutions

- Work to the highest personal standards and achieve set objectives.

- Good training skills.

- Proven diversity and multi-cultural experience.

- Work to the highest personal and professional standard to achieve or exceed set objectives.
