Description
1. Scope of Responsibilities
Responsible for assisting with the day-to-day HSSE management service that is effective and suitable to
support project HSSE objectives in their designated Area of Responsibility. Ensure that Project HSSE
requirements are widely and consistently understood and implemented.
2. Primary Duties
? Oversee day-to-day HSSE activities in accordance with designated areas of responsibility.
? Assist in the development of operational control procedures as required implementing robust HSSE
Management system on a project.
? Ensure implementation of HSSE initiatives and programs consistent with HSSE plans, legislative
requirements and best practice in their designated areas of responsibility.
? Lead a team of HSSE advisors for the area allocated and ensure effective HSSE support for the project
activities (Construction and Commissioning) in their area of responsibility.
? Ensure to implement Petrofac HSSE initiatives (PAI, SAO, Synergi, S.S.E, STEP etc.,) on the project.
? Coordinate with Construction/ Commissioning teams and ensure Project HSSE Plans are implemented
effectively.
? Conduct HSSE Audits, Inspections in their allocated areas.
? Ensure Golden Rules of Safety requirements are communicated and implemented.
? Ensure effective communication is provided (Tool box talks, Safety Alerts etc.,) in their respective
areas.
? Mentor Line Management and Supervision on HSSE Programmes.
? Assist/ provide support to ensure effective implementation Sub-contractor management and HSSE
training program on the project.
? Participate in HSSE workshops and Task Based Risk Assessments for project activities. Ensure that Task
based risk assessments/ JSA’s are developed for all the activities and control measures are
implemented to reduce the risk to ALARP.
? Ensure effective implementation of Permit to Work/ Safe System work in their respective areas.
? Maintain a daily working relationship with Project HSSE team, line management and subcontractors in
relation of their respective compliance with the provisions of the HSSE policies, HSSE Plan and legal
requirements.
? Participate in Incident Investigations and ensure corrective actions are closed with the time frame.
? Ensure that Emergency Response teams are identified and preparedness is tested periodically.
? Provide regular, reliable reports and data for monitoring HSSE performance.
? Carry out other duties as requested by the Supervisor
