The Exploration Operations Department is seeking a top Geospatial Analyst to join their world class team. The successful candidates’ primary work is characterized by the responsibility for coordinating and executing complete projects, or studies requiring knowledge of cartographic methods, techniques or procedures.
Minimum Requirements
As the successful candidate you will hold a B.Sc. degree in Geospatial Sciences or related discipline (Geodesy, Geographic Information Sciences, Computer Sciences, Civil Engineering, etc.), and a minimum of 7 years’ experience diversified in GIS, and remote sensing analysis.
Duties and Responsibilities
You will be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of GIS and remote sensing theory, concepts and principles, and be able to demonstrate the practical applications of those principles and methods in the construction and applied use of spatially related data as required for mapping and analytical studies. The successful candidate will assist in acquiring, integrating, synthesizing, analyzing, and/or processes geospatial intelligence and other information from a variety of different sources, into a set of relational information. Conduct data correction, post-classification, color enhancement, classification, and algorithms analysis integrated into existing image processing and GIS workflows.
