Position Description
Part of Saudi Aramco’s strategy involves the construction of the Jazan refinery, which is currently underway, and commissioning is scheduled to begin in 2018. The refinery will have the capacity to process 400,000 BPD of Arabian Heavy and Arabian Medium crude oils to produce gasoline, ultra-low-sulfur diesel, benzene, and paraxylene.
Due to this expansion, we are now seeking a large number of experienced plant Console Coordinators / Boardman to work with us in Jazan with experience of working in the following Units:-
Hydrocracker (HCK)
Crude/Vacuum Distillation Unit (CDU/VDU)
Diesel Hydrotreater (DHT)
Naphtha Hydrotreater (NHT)
Reformer/Continuous Catalyst Regeneration (CCR)
Aromatics Complex
Isomerization Unit (ISOM)
Sulphur Recovery Unit (SRU) & Tail Gas Treatment (TGT)
Gasification (GFU)
IGCC SRU
IGCC Utilities
Refinery Utilities
Tank Farm
Minimum Requirements
As the successful candidate you will hold a High school from a recognized and approved program.
You will have ten years’ experience, including at least five as console operator.
As a subject matter expert;
You will have experience in startup, shutdown and emergency procedures.
You must have knowledge of plant layout and the applicable operations.
You will also have flexibility to rotate and direct operations in other plants of similar complexity after a reasonable break-in period.
You must have experience in working with various control system (preferably Honeywell).
You will have thorough knowledge in operating advanced technology systems installed in the plant.
Duties and Responsibilities
You will be required to perform the following:
Handle all communications requirement.
Monitor the operating conditions and making in-process adjustments either at the console or within the plant to ensure safe and trouble free operation.
Rotate and direct operations in other plants of similar complexity.
Monitor product quality and make recommendations and/or adjustments to maintain product quality, yields and production rates.
Work as operator of the plant, if required.
Identify operational hazards and resolve them as necessary.
Monitor the plant products give-away on a continuous basis.
Take appropriate action to reduce product losses.
Utilize Power Monitoring System (PMS), which combines digital electric power meters with software-based PC system to obtain operational benefits.
Utilize the PMS system to reduce the plant electric power consumption to reduce electric power usage
Utilize Performance & Profitability Monitoring System (PPMS) that provides the operator with a real time economic indicators to enable him to maximize his unit contribution to the Company revenue.
Control unit upsets and bring it to a safe and normal operation level.
Provide training to new operators in the unit.
