We are currently seeking an experienced Measurement Engineer to join the Terminal Operations Department, which is a key organization within the Saudi Aramco production chain as it handles the shipment of crude oil from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to destinations around the globe. The successful candidate will perform measurement-related technical tasks within the Terminal Department’s onshore and offshore sites to ensure the technical quality of the produced work; complete the assigned tasks in a timely manner; interface with other departments, vendors, subcontractors, and third parties; participate in technical meetings; and technically support the measurement functions within the organization.
Minimum Requirements
As a successful candidate, you will hold a B.S. engineering degree.
Candidates will have a minimum of 7 years experience as a measurement engineer, handling hydrocarbon liquid measurements. You will have worked in process plants of oil/gas or petrochemical businesses.
Other requirements include excellent communication skills in English speaking and writing, and the flexibility to travel regularly.
Duties and Responsibilities
Candidates will perform flowmeter sizing, proving and calibration. Configure and retrieve data from flow computers. Troubleshoot and test metering system problems. Calculate tank transfer volumes. Evaluate the performance of sampling systems. Design, size and select sampling systems. Select stream conditioning methods. Define loss control and identify ship/shore differences. List factors that can explain material imbalances. Identify possible sources of measurement error leading to losses. Identify resources needed to conduct product loss investigation. Design and conduct comprehensive survey checklists and develop recommendations for improvement. Understand and perform the duties of a project engineer for metering projects during different project phases. Review and approve project deliverables. Handle project execution including testing, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities. Evaluate new measurement technologies.
