Position Description
We are seeking an Organization Performance Specialist to join Upstream Continuing Excellence (UCE), a group that is reporting directly to the Upstream Senior Vice President (SVP).
UCE provides health and safety solutions, consultation, guidance, education, and measurement to the SVP of Upstream to help Saudi Aramco upstream organizations to achieve their strategic objectives in a safe, efficient and cost effective manner.
Minimum Requirements
The successful candidate should hold a bachelor degree in an engineering, safety and health, safety management, environmental science, chemistry, biology, or a related field. MSc degree is preferred.
Must have minimum of 10 years experience within the health and safety function, preferably within a large, decentralized organization 3 years of which should have been in heavy industry or consulting with heavy industry.
Certifications in the health and safety field, such as CSP, MIOSH, etc. are preferred.
Experience and skills should include health and safety program development, qualitative and quantitative risk analysis, process safety management, incident investigation and the development and implementation of safe operations procedures and processes.
Knowledge of international consensus standards and their application, especially within candidate’s areas of specialty.
Extensive knowledge of safety management systems: OHSAS 18001, ANSI Z10, etc.
Conducting and/or facilitating incident investigations (experience with Taproot system preferred)
Demonstrated, highly effective platform presentation and training delivery skills.
Duties and Responsibilities
You are expected to be able to perform the following:
Develop, implement and manage systems to identify gaps in health and safety performance.
Develop KPI validation protocols and review their performance in the field.
Manage initiatives through the governance structure of the safety strategic plan.
Provide assistance and consultation to operational executives and middle managers.
Partner with operational management and serving as SME for contact with corporate HSE entities.
Develop and deliver training to safety and health practitioners.
Train, develop and support the growth of health and safety team members to ensure group effectiveness and efficiency.
Integrate health and safety into the fabric of operational excellence system.
Provide facilitation of and/or quality assurance of investigation of high potential incidents.
