Position Description
Due to our continued growth and expansion, a position is available in the Community Services Project Support Department (CSPSD) for a Mechanical Engineer with full knowledge of building systems, underground utility systems, and equipment.
Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION: A Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent. A master’s degree is preferred. EXPERIENCE: The successful candidate will poses a minimum fifteen (15) years of experience in design of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing), and construction of underground utility systems (water and sewer networks, district cooling networks, etc.) in residential and commercial buildings and facilities. He shall be able to work independently and with minimum supervision. Must be fully familiar with ASHRAE, ASPE, NFPA, SMACNA, ASME, ASTM, IMC, IPC, AWWA, and other applicable codes and standards. Must have knowledge of relevant computer systems, and must be fully capable of using HVAC programs and applications in reviewing and checking calculations, design standards, and equipment performance and selections. Excellent communication skills in both oral and written English with special emphasis on preparing technical reports and design studies.
Duties and Responsibilities
30 Days: During the first 30 days you will be attending orientations with related departments, familiarizing yourself with Saudi Aramco engineering standards, your home department and key decision makers. You will also familiarize yourself with the processes and procedures of Saudi Aramco. You will shadow department members and begin supporting the different project divisions. 60-90 Days: During this period, your division head and supervisor will monitor your progress and report to the department manager if you are a fit for the position. You will provide support to your department/division by performing 30%, 60%, and 90% project proposals, and detailed designs reviews. You will attend meetings and workshops with other departments within Saudi Aramco, as well as outside consultants. After 12 Months: You will have become an important and valuable member of the department, acclimatized and enjoying working for the world’s largest company. You will have established, adopted, and/or customized standards for CSPSD. You will be able to apply project management skills, supervise projects, and train young Saudi engineers in the Professional Development Program (PDP).
