KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES

    Provides direct instruction and supervision to other Field Engineers on day-to-day well site work and activities
    Provides advice and direction to external customer and third-party wellsite colleagues as appropriate
    Provides resolution to a diverse scope and range of complex problems at the well site where analysis of data requires having a broad knowledge of the product line's) tool(s)) and/or service.
    Work is evaluated upon completion by local Operations Management and the external Customer to ensure objectives have been met.
    Acts as a project leader and mentors junior field engineers
    Executes other related duties as assigned.
    Communicating with Coordinators and Well Planners regarding the status of the well
    Responsible for knowing the operational status of field equipment at the well site and maintaining it when appropriate
    Must be available for 24 hour on-call service and/or night shifts as needed
    Ability to drive extensively to wellsite in remote locations and work on location for 26+ days per month
    Must possess a valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
    Ability to perform laborious duties in various outdoor weather conditions required
    Ability to take direction and work efficiently in teams
    Ability to communicate effectively in a courteous manner
    Conducts all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements and Baker Hughes Core Values.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

    Have a minimum of 3+ years of field service in Drilling 
    Completed High school diploma or equivalent
    Two year Technical college degree and significant experience as afield Specialist
    Completion of the Final Step (Step III) of the LEAD Field Engineer Program is required.
    Must complete assigned training and development programs required by local Operations under the direction of the Talent Management Group
    Thorough mechanical and application proficiency in one or more product lines.
    Ability to work well and communicate well with others.
    Must have visual acuity and attention to detail, enough to monitor multiple computer screens, record logs and readouts for long periods of uninterrupted time
    Good mechanical aptitude required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

    Competent in medium to high risk applications in other product groups.
    Two-year Technical college degree and significant experience as a Field Specialist.
    Thorough mechanical and application proficiency in one or more product lines
    May be competent in medium to high risk applications in other product groups
    Demonstrated ability to work as a team and communicate well with others.
    Ability to utilize a laptop computer and software applications (MS Office, proprietary software, etc.,) for monitoring, reporting and communication purposes

OTHER DETAILS

    Must be able to be on call 24/7 and work without any guaranteed days off.
    Must live within 8 hours travel by car to the Houston area or be willing to relocate yourself to the area.
    Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States with no restrictions.
