|
Our client, an international Oil and Gas Operator have a new requirement for a Procurement Specialist to be based in their Project Office in Reading. The position is offered with a negotiable hourly rate and long term contract.
Job Overview:
As Procurement Specialist, you'll be responsible for developing and implementing project procurement plans whilst holding the responsibility for assisting in defining the project procurement strategy throughout the FEED / EPC phase
Responsibilities:
* Ensures that contractor is working in accordance with the Contract
* Reviews contractors purchasing procedures
* Ensures that Aramco qualified vendors receive requests from tenders and proposals
* Ensures that purchase requisitions and orders are accurate, approved and released in a timely manner and in accordance with project schedule
* Experience of order placements for large size projects including engineered equipment from major manufacturers
* Participate in developing negotiation plans for long lead equipment as applicable
* Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround time, streamline work processes, and work in a cooperative manner that fosters quality customer service within the FEED / EPC phase
Required Qualifications and Experience:
* Ideally degree qualified or equivalent
* CIPS Certification (or working towards) or equivalent professional PSCM qualification
* Experience gained working on Oil and Gas Projects
* Experience in previous Saudi Aramco projects during FEED Phase is preferred |
