Our client, an international Oil and Gas Operator are looking for a Planning Engineer to be based in their offices in Surrey. The position is offered with a long term contract and negotiable daily rate.
Job Overview:
As Planning Engineer you'll be responsible for developing and maintaining baseline and detailed project schedules for various phases of project.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and update GSS monthly performance reports including level 1 and level 2 schedules, progress S-Curves and milestone variance reports. * Review schedules and reports prepared by the contractors and suppliers and monitor progress of works at site. * Identify / highlight any emerging issues pertaining to schedule slippages and work with Project Manager / team to develop recovery plans. * Analyse impact of proposed changes to project scope / requirements and re-baseline the schedules to incorporate approved changes.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
* Ideally a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant subject * Relevant upstream major project planning experience in oil and gas sector for subsea hardware * Planning experience in the major project environment with a particular focus on Subsea Production Systems and URF system delivery. * Strong understanding of current Schedule best practices and familiarity with Primavera P6 software and other planning tools.
