Assure Nondestructive Testing (NDT) inspections are in compliance with customer directives, requirements, and specifications. This individual will be qualified to properly set up and calibrate equipment to interpret and evaluate results with respect to applicable codes, standards, and specifications. This individual will be familiar with the scope and limitations of the NDT methods for which qualified/certified. This individual will be able to organize and report the results of NDT inspections. Ensure the requirements set forth in the company Process Instructions and QA Manual are adhered to and enforced. Frequent overtime may be required. Strong analytical skills required.
Responsible for the equipment storage and maintenance while on job site.
To work onshore/offshore supervising the rope access crews.
Inspects offshore structures, vessels, and pipelines, and their appurtenances, for conformance to specifications, using fixed or preset measuring instruments; Travels offshore on vessels and in aircraft.
Examines materials or products for anomalies, damage, or defects, such as cracks, pits, incomplete welds, holes, dents, excessive corrosion, etc.
Examines coating conditions.
Takes cathodic potential (CP) readings using a “drop-cell” technique.
Makes appropriate drawings and sketches to supplement written data.
Keeps inspection data organized.
Uses computer and various software applications to prepare, check and package various types of inspection and survey reports
Inspects offshore structures, vessels and pipelines, and their appurtenances, for conformance to specifications, using fixed or preset measuring instruments
The NDT Technician Level II will perform RT, UTT, MT, PT and NDT industrial inspections onshore / offshore of piping, pipelines, pressure vessels, and structural components.
The Inspector II inspects offshore/onshore structures, vessels, pipelines, and their appurtenances for structural and coating condition, as per API RP 2SIM & API RP 2FPS.
The Inspector I inspects offshore structures, vessels, pipelines, and their appurtenances for structural and coating condition, as per API RP 2SIM & API RP 2FPS.
To ensure all plant and equipment on the designated platform is inspected and certified in accordance with approved plans. Control and co-ordinate all inspection activities in accordance with Oceaneering & the client’s codes of practice, procedures, strategies and offshore legislation where applicable. Provide regular feedback to the client and Oceaneering’s Senior Inspection Engineer
Responsible for the effective provision and operation of inspection systems and services to the allocated installation and/or site to ensure that plant and equipment is certified in accordance with Oceaneering and Client codes of practice, strategies and legislation ensuring feedback of results to client Asset Group.
Dealing with client enquiries, organisation and execution of jobs following work instructions, with specific emphasis on specialist techniques. Required to assist SIS Management in day to day activities.
Responsible for equipment, maintenance and QHSE (Oceaneering and Client) documentation control. This will include current SIS equipment, but also keeping abreast of technical developments within the industry and assessing if the technology will benefit the department.
